Outdoor theater presents Spike & the Bulldogs

AUBURN — Spike & the Bulldogs will perform at the DeKalb Outdoor
Theater Friday at 7:30 p.m. as part of the free Friday Night Performance Series.
Throughout Northern Indiana, Ohio & Michigan, Spike and the Bulldogs takes
you back the days of the “Drive In” and the “Sock Hop”.
Spike & the Bulldgos have been bringing the “oldies” back to life for
over 20 years and have been voted “Best Oldies Performers” seven years in a
row by the readers of Whatz Up magazine. They have performed with artists such
as The Beach Boys, Chubby Checker, Herman’s Hermits and Mike Smith of the Dave
Clark Five and have been featured performers on 15 cruises throughout the
Caribbean and Mexican Riviera.
The band plays music from 1955-1966, featuring tunes by Buddy Holly, Bill Haley,
The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Wilson Pickett, Bobby Darin, The Righteous
Brothers, and many more.
Shifters Car Club members will cruise to the theater Friday night to display
their vintage vehicles, and the DeKalb Humane Society will serve a pulled pork
barbecue sandwich dinner with baked beans and potato salad.
Gates will open and food will be available at 6 p.m., and the theater’s
Kid’s Corner will open at 6:30.
